Save Our Akkar: Empowering
Young Environmental Champions!
In a day filled with
environmental fun and learning, the "Save Our Akkar" event was
launched, organized by the Council of Environment - Kobayat in collaboration
with "Slovak Aid" and "People in Need." This event called
upon all young environmental enthusiasts to participate in this fantastic day.
It was designed for girls and boys aged 10 to 14 and included various exciting
activities, environmental games, and inspiring lectures by environmental
experts.
A Joyful Start:
The day began with a welcome
and an explanation of the day's program by Sandra Sleiman on behalf of the
organizing committee. This was followed by a speech from Antoine Daher and an
introduction to the Council of Environment work. The adventure then commenced
with a hike in the Helsban Valley to enjoy the surrounding natural beauty.
Raising Awareness About
Waste:
The issue of waste and its
impact on the environment was discussed tangibly with Hiba Mikhael and the “Circl”
team. This discussion provided children with a clear understanding of how to
address this important environmental challenge.
Natural Nutrition:
Participants took a break with
delicious, natural food prepared by Jacqueline Moussa (Manaqeesh and bleila
salad). The children gained insight into the importance of healthy nutrition
and its effects on their health and the environment.
Helsban Park Project:
The Helsban Park project was
presented and explained by Antonio Meaki, Ralph Daher, and Peter Moussa. This
ambitious project aims to develop a natural park in this beautiful location and
preserve its natural environment.
Practical Ideas from the
Children:
The day-to-day activities
touched on the ambitions of the children, who envisioned themselves as park
managers and offered practical suggestions for its development and protection.
Games and Environmental
Gifts:
The day concluded with a play
session and the distribution of environmental gifts to each participant. Among
these gifts was a valuable booklet titles “Youth's Guide to Environmental Citizenship”.
It can be said that the
"Save Our Akkar" event was a day filled with environmental fun and
learning. This day provided an opportunity for children to explore their
environment, understand the importance of environmental protection, and work
together to build a more sustainable future.
Protecting Akkar:
This event is part of ongoing
efforts to protect and care for the Akkar region. It is an awareness initiative
aimed at empowering and encouraging the younger generation to care for the
environment and work towards sustainability.

حماية عكار: تمكين الشباب كبطلات
وأبطال بيئيين
في يوم مليء بالمرح والتعلم البيئي،
انطلق حدث "حماية عكار" الذي نظمه مجلس البيئة - القبيات بالتعاون مع "Slovak Aid" و"People in Need" لدعوة جميع عشاق البيئة الصغار
للمشاركة في هذا اليوم الرائع. تم تنظيم هذا الحدث لفتيان وفتيات تتراوح أعمارهم
بين 10 و14 سنة، وقد تضمن العديد من الأنشطة المثيرة والألعاب البيئية والمحاضرات
الملهمة من قبل خبراء في مجال البيئة.
البداية المبهجة
بدأ اليوم بمرحلة الاستقبال حيث تم
تقديم شرح عن برنامج اليوم من قبل ساندرا سليمان نيابة عن اللجنة المنظمة. تلاها
كلمة من أنطوان ضاهر ونبذة عن مجلس البيئة. ثم بدأت المغامرة بجولة في وادي حلسبان
للاستمتاع بجمال الطبيعة المحيطة.
الوعي بمشكلة النفايات
تم مناقشة مشكلة النفايات وأثرها على
البيئة بشكل ملموس مع هبة مخايل وفريق Circl هذا النقاش قدم للأطفال نظرة واضحة عن كيفية التعامل مع هذا التحدي
البيئي الهام.
التغذية الطبيعية
أُعِد للمشاركين طعام طبيعي لذيذ مع
جاكلين موسى (مناقيش وبليلة). تمتع الأطفال بفهم أهمية التغذية الصحية وتأثيرها
على صحتهم والبيئة.
مشروع منتزه حلسبان
تم عرض مشروع منتزه حلسبان وشرحه من
قبل أنطونيو معيكي، رالف ضاهر، وبيتر موسى. هذا المشروع الطموح يهدف إلى تطوير
منتزه في هذا الموقع الجميل والحفاظ على طبيعته.
أفكار عملية من الأطفال
لامست الأنشطة اليومية طموحات الأطفال
الذين قاموا بتصور أنفسهم كمديري المنتزه وقدموا اقتراحات عملية لتطويره.
اللعب والهدايا البيئية
اختتم اليوم بجلسة لعب وتوزيع هدايا
بيئية على كل مشارك. ومن بين هذه الهدايا، كتيب قيم بشكل دليل للأطفال عن المواطنة
البيئية.
يمكن القول أن حدث "حماية
عكار" كان يومًا مليئًا بالمتعة والتعلم البيئي. لقد قدم هذا اليوم الفرصة
للأطفال لاكتشاف البيئة من حولهم وفهم أهمية الاعتناء بالبيئة والعمل المشترك نحو
بناء مستقبل مستدام.
