REEF
2023 Festival, organized by the Council of Environment – Kobayat and Aflamuna,
is a unique festival that celebrates natural heritage, cinema, and rural
culture. The aim of the festival is to provide access to culture and
foster discussions about preserving the environment. The theme for the 2023
edition is “Transformations” focusing on the various changes in the natural
world and their impacts, as well as exploring alternatives and solutions to
address these issues. The festival will feature creative workshops,
conferences, films, and field visits, engaging with locals and visitors to
stimulate reflection and propose meaningful solutions. Let's take a journey

ambassadors:
Introducing
an exciting addition to this edition, REEF’s Young Ambassadors comprise a
dedicated group of approximately twenty volunteers from Akkar, ranging in age
from 13 to 18 years old. Their pivotal role involves comprehensive engagement throughout
the festival, encompassing tasks such as conducting interviews with esteemed
experts and professionals, facilitating select exchange sessions, participating
in a condensed film assessment workshop for presenting awards within the
mid-length film competition. Guided by experienced members of the REEF team and
the Cultural Salon, they will also partake in awareness sessions focused on
pressing environmental concerns and filmmaking.
REEF 2023 is more than just a
festival; it's a testament to the beauty of nature, the power of culture, and
the importance of sustainability. By bringing together environmental
enthusiasts, artists, and the local community, it creates a space for education,
creativity, and dialogue. The festival showcases the rich cultural heritage of

مهرجان REEF 2023 - حيث تلتقي الطبيعة مع الثقافة والاستدامة
مهرجان REEF 2023،
الذي ينظمه مجلس البيئة – القبيات و"افلامنا" ، هو مهرجان الفريد من نوعه في منطقة
عكار في لبنان من أجل الاحتفال بالتراث الطبيعي والسينما والثقافة الريفية. اخترنا
"التحولات" كموضوع عام لنسخة ٢٠٢٣ من "ريف"، وهو ما يعطينا
المجال للتركيز على التغيرات البيئية والطبيعية المختلفة وتأثيراتها، بالإضافة إلى
استكشاف البدائل والحلول لمعالجة هذه القضايا.
يتضمن المهرجان ورش عمل إبداعية، ندوات، أفلام،
زيارات ميدانية، كلها ستساهم في زيادة التفاعل ما بين السكان المحليين والزوار من
أجل تحفيز التفكير الخلاق والخروج بحلول مقترحة هادفة حول التحديات والقضايا التي

:برنامج سفراء ريف
يشهد المهرجان هذا العام إضافة نوعية،
فبرنامج ريف للسفراء الشباب سيضم مجموعة من حوالي 20 متطوعا ً من عكار تتراوح
أعمارهم ما بين 13 و18 عاما. ويتضمن دورهم المحوري خلال مدة إقامة
المهرجان على مشاركة شاملة بما في ذلك إجراء مقابلات مع خبراء ومحترفين ومرموقين،
إدارة جلسات تبادل خبرات مختارة، المشاركة في ورشة عمل مكثفة لتقييم الأفلام من
أجل تقديم جائزة الفيلم المتوسط الطول. وبتوجيه من أعضاء ذوي خبرة في فريق تنظيم مهرجان
ريف والصالون الثقافي، سيشارك السفراء أيضا في جلسات توعية تركز
على القضايا البيئية
