On Independence Day in Arz
and Azer, we decided to celebrate in our unique way in a country that has never
truly experienced independence. Organized by the Council of Environment, this
journey was a tribute to the spirit of the cedar, a symbol of resilience,
rootedness, and our determination to overcome any challenge. It's also a symbol
of the natural beauty that has shaped the Lebanese identity.
The journey took us to two
remarkable destinations:
1. Arz Al Qoubaiyat (Cedar
of Qoubaiyat): The cedar, with its enduring strength and deep roots, reflects
the Lebanese people's resilience. Just as the cedar has stood the test of time,
so will we. It is also a symbol of the nature that has defined the Lebanese
identity.
2. Azer Forest in Fneidq
(Iron Oak): Known as the "Golden Forest," Azer is a place of great
natural beauty. Here, we met with our friend Ali Taleb and the Akkar Trail
team. They joined us for a memorable encounter, and together we planted one
hundred small Azer tree saplings on a hillside in the forest.
Each Independence Day, we
celebrate our country, hoping for a future when true independence will become a
reality. Our journey reflects the unity and commitment of those who work
together with enthusiasm, believing in the power of nature and the strength of
our community.

احتفالًا بعيد الاستقلال: رحلة تشجير
يوم الاستقلال في الأرز والعزر، قررنا الاحتفال
بطريقتنا الفريدة في بلد لم يعرف حقًا الاستقلال. نظمها مجلس البيئة، وكانت هذه
الرحلة تكريمًا لروح الأرز، رمز الصمود والجذور العميقة وإصرارنا على التغلب على
أي تحدي. إنها أيضًا رمز للجمال الطبيعي الذي شكل الهوية اللبنانية.
:أخذتنا الرحلة إلى وجهتين مميزتين
١. أرز القبيات: الأرز، بقوته الصامدة
وجذوره العميقة، يعكس صمود الشعب اللبناني. تمامًا كما صمد الأرز عبر الزمن، سنصمد
نحن أيضًا. إنه أيضًا رمز للطبيعة التي شكلت الهوية اللبنانية.
٢. غابة العذر في فنيدق: تُعرف على
"الغابة الذهبية"، العذر هو مكان ذو جمال طبيعي كبير. هنا التقينا بصديقنا
علي طالب وفريق درب عكار انضموا إلينا في لقاء مميز، وسويًا زرعنا مئة شتلة صغيرة
من العذر على جانب تلة في الغابة.
في كل يوم استقلال، نحتفل ببلدنا، نأمل
في مستقبل يصبح فيه الاستقلال الحقيقي واقعًا. تعكس رحلتنا وحدة والتزام الأشخاص
الذين يعملون معًا بحماس، معتقدين في قوة الطبيعة وقوة مجتمعنا.
