On October 14, 2022, Lebanon
Eco Movement organized a special environmental event at the Engineers'
Syndicate in Beirut. This event was held in celebration of Arab Environment Day
and carried a powerful theme: "Environmental Reality and Climate
Justice."
The event revolved around
several crucial topics related to the environment and climate justice in
Lebanon and the world at large. Some of the key discussions and themes
included:
1. Environmental Reality in
Lebanon: The environmental situation in Lebanon was spotlighted, with a focus
on the challenges and issues facing the environment in this country.
2. Green Economy: The
concept of a green economy was discussed, exploring how sustainable economic
development can be achieved without harmful impacts on the environment.
3. Environmental
Governance: Emphasis was placed on the importance and necessity of improving
environmental governance and ensuring compliance with environmental laws and
regulations.
The event included
significant moments of recognition, with the Council of Environment being
honored for its remarkable environmental achievements in Akkar. Dr. Nasser
Yassin, the Minister of Environment extended a special appreciation for the
Council's efforts and presented them with an honorary shield. Additionally, the
Akkar Trail group was also recognized for its inspirational environmental
efforts.
This event holds great
significance in raising awareness about environmental and climate justice
issues in Lebanon and fostering collaboration and participation in addressing
these critical challenges. It demonstrates the community's commitment to contributing
to environmental preservation and moving towards a more sustainable future.

البيئية:** تم التركيز على أهمية وضرورة تحسين الحوكمة البيئية، وضمان الامتثال
للقوانين واللوائح البيئية
كان للحدث لحظات تكريمية مهمة حيث تم
تكريم مجلس البيئة لإنجازاته البيئية الرائعة في عكار. تمنى وزير البيئة الدكتور
ناصر ياسين تقديراً
خاصًا لمجلس البيئة على جهوده، وقدم لهم درع تقديري. كما تم أيضًا تكريم مجموعة درب
عكار لجهودهم
البيئية الملهمة.
هذا الحدث له أهمية كبيرة في تعزيز
الوعي بقضايا البيئة والعدالة المناخية في لبنان وتعزيز التعاون والمشاركة في حل
